About Dr Manish Puranik

Dr Manish Puranik is an Aurangabad based Cardiac Surgeon specializing in Minimal Invasive Cardiac Surgery. Currently associated with the Seth Nandlal Dhoot Hospital as a Consultant Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon and Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgeon in Aurangabad, he has operated over 1100 patients in a span of three and half years.

Dr Manish completed his MBBS from JMF’s ACPM Medial College in Dhule in the year 1999. In 2006, he went on the complete his M.S in General Surgery from Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai. His M.C.H Cardiac Surgery was done in 2009 from LTMMC & Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital, Mumbai.
Dr Manish completed his internship at SBHG Medical College at Dhule and PHC in Ner Dhule where, as a part of his rural posting, he monitored the daily outpatient department, trauma management, pregnancy and labour, school health check-ups and immunization drives.

He was a full-time Resident Doctor in General Surgery at the Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai. During that period, he was appointed the position of Trauma Registrar in the Trauma Unit. He held this position for a period of one and a half years continuously.

He went on to become a Medical Officer at the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Centre at Kasturba Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai which was quickly followed his M. Ch (Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery) at the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College (LTMMC) and Hospital in Mumbai. He worked as a Senior Registrar in the Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery Department during his three year degree programme. He also continued his Post M Ch. here for from August 2009 to December 2011, earning expertise in his field.

The CVTS (Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery) department of LTMMC and Hospital offered Dr Manish vital exposure to all kinds of adult and paediatric open heart surgeries, closed heart surgeries, lung and vascular surgeries. Because LTMMC and Hospital has one of the biggest trauma centres in Asia and a large number of vascular and thoracic trauma cases, this experience strengthened his expertise in cardio vascular and thoracic surgery.

He was an Observer for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery: Herzzentrum Leipzig Gmbh in Germany in October 2013. He continues to pursue his interest in Minimal Invasive Valve and Coronary Surgery, Total arterial Re-vascularization, Aortic Arch Surgery and Maze surgery.

His current role as a Consultant Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon in a super speciality hospital in Aurangabad gives him a chance to serve patients from all over Maharashtra with his expertise in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery.
